Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA) Membership

We are happy to announce that PSOAR and PGIAR Group have been granted the associate membership of OASPA (Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association), visit http://www.oaspa.org/members.php

OASPA offers a forum for bringing together the entire community of Open Access journal publishers.

Open Access Week declared for 2009

Popular global event extended over one week, October 19 – 23

To accommodate widespread global interest in the movement toward Open Access to scholarly research results, October 19 – 23, 2009 will mark the first international Open Access Week. The now-annual event, expanded from one day to a full week, presents an opportunity to broaden awareness and understanding of Open Access to research, including access policies from all types of research funders, within the international higher education community and the general public.

The following is the list of proposed programmes at Seth GL Bihani SD College of Technical Education by the Team of PSOAR

1. Seminar on "Open Access and its Utility in Pharmaceutical Education and Research"
2. Practical Classes on "Information Retrieval for Pharmaceutical Education and Research using OA Resources"
3. Promotion of OA through blogsite http://vikaspsoar.blogspot.com and search engines "Vikas PSOAR" and "Vikas PGIAR" exclusively customized for OA literature in pharmaceutical sciences and guidelines
4. Official launch of blogsite http://pharmcareer.blogspot.com for career prospects in pharmaceutical sciences.
